TREATING COVID-19 PATIENTS
This is an opportunity to explore the potential to treat COVID-19 patients using a known, widely available and inexpensive anti-inflammatory drug, Colchicine.
We aim to explore the potential of using a widely available, anti-inflammatory drug (Colchicine) to treat COVID-19 patients.
The COLCORONA study will be led and coordinated by the highly respected medical team at the Montreal Heart Institute and the MHICC in Canada. They will be supported by doctors in the regions where patients are participating. Funding for the clinical trial has been provided by the Government of Quebec, the US National Institutes of Health and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
